Did we even have a summer?  If I haven't been busy doing one thing its been another.  I have done a little painting but not a lot yet.  School is back in session very soon for me and the kids.  

There are a few projects we have going on here at home that I would like to get finished however.  We are tearing off the back porch and going to rebuild a deck.  I would love to get my hardwood floors refinished as well, they need it badly.  I need to finish painting my kitchen, its half done.  

I've got so much to do and so little time to do it!

For a while I couldn't find my pw or user name for this!  How embarassing is that?!  

Anyway, 1st semester of school is done!  I made it to the Dean's list, and now I'm an official Graphic Design student, and not just on the waiting list anymore.  YAY!  I've been doing more art as well as being very very busy with my kids this summer.  I will post more when I get back from vacation in a week and a half!  I am going to get some much needed R&R.  I can't wait!!

I've had absolutely no time for anything other than my kids and school.  I recently started going back to college this last monday.  What a roller coaster its been so far too!  Mondays are my busy days with 4 classes, one of which being 4 hours long.  Then I have 1 or 2 classes the rest of the week.  I've probably said all this before but I didn't check and I don't remember.  haha  I did have to miss one class this week, which totally bummed me out, it was my photoshop class.  I had gotten the stomach flu.  Thanks to my "wonderful" (said very loosely) sister in law and her hubby.   They have NO consideration for others what so ever.   They walk into my home with lite cigarettes, even though I quit smoking Dec 26 and have not gone back..... Knowing I started school this week they still brought themselves and their sick child into my home!  GRRR  I let them use my car to run to the doc (their car died).... sis in law was miscarrying, and they smoke in my car!  I have a few colorful words for them!   I feel bad that she was miscarrying to a point..... I've been there, I have had 4 of them myself.  It doesn't give you the right to not have conisderation for anyone else out there.  Least not in my messed up world. HAHAHA  Then they ask me yesterday to borrow my car again to run to the bank so they can get money to pay the cable guys so they will hook them back up from lack of payment.  This is AFTER their debit card was denied.... umm duuuhhhh after last time you drove my car and smoked in it....... ummmm NO!  Use that money to fix your car!  It is real rocket science I guess.  (shaking head)

So anyway, school is wonderful!  Never thought I would say that in a million years.  I hated high school with a passion.  Go figure!  Maybe that is why it has taken me 15 years to go to college.  LOL   Along with all my classes, I've joined the college fitness center...... for $15 for the semester, and I have to walk past it anyway on the way home...... why not.  Well I had to go in to the doc to have my good foot checked out.... every time I stepped on it, its been hurting, really weird.   After 1 hr on the treadmill and walking 8 blocks to school, I figured I did something to it.  I am the clutz of our family.  Well I have an appt in a little while to see if its broke or if I have a pinched nerve in my back.  UGH!

Anyway gotta go!

 So many things have changed around here in the last few weeks.  Many for the good!  First of all, I have quit smoking!  YIPEEE!!  I'm feeling so alive now.  I've found energy I didn't realize I had.  Just in time too, school starts next monday.  I will be busy busy.  I will have classes from 10 am to 10 pm with a 3 hour break in there, have lunch... then later to pick up my son from his afterschool program, make supper and go back.  Then the rest of the week I just have 2 classes a day.  This will be interesting! 

I've done a bit more painting over the last few weeks, just playing around with watercolors again.  Nothing really cool though.  I haven't touched anything with my digital art in over a month!  I really need to however.  Stab and Stash finally put up my page and so far they have 3 of my pieces done for charts.  I'm hoping to do some other things as well as far as licensing.   If anyone has thoughts on this, please holler!  

I need to run off and get some more things done before I don't have time when I'm going to school..... hope everyone had a happy holidays and is having a great week!  HUGS TO ALL

 Another week has past and I'm coming in for an update! :)

We have added to our family!  We now have a 10 month old American White Shepherd.  (white german shepherd)
His name is Glacier.  I got him from a friend who was fostering him for a friend of her's who moved in with her b/f and couldn't keep him, the b/f already had 2 dogs I guess.  Other than being puppy thin Glacier is absolutely perfect and is a wonderful addition to our family!  He is going to be going on the road with my hubby. :) Though I think Chris is going to have to get Glacier away from our youngest.... they have become very attached to each other already. HA

I haven't done any art other than working on the dragon I'm making for Alex.  That is about finished, I just have to get it into the frame and wrapped.... I'm afraid if I do anything else to it I will ruin it.  So I'm not touching it anymore. 

Still have to finish Christmas shopping, only a couple things left to get... and I'm feeling better again finally!  I got really really sick over the weekend.... so hopefully that was the last of it for a while.  

I started on the Chantix med this week also, to quit smoking.  I've tried quitting cold turkey, that didn't work, I've tried other things too.  Nothing worked UGH.  But I'm determined this time!  I'm supposed to smoke during the first week with this, then quit..... so Christmas day is my last day, then I will be a nonsmoker!  MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ME! :D

Oh and one thing that is irritating me..... I still don't have my Art Wanted Calendars!  GRRRR  My very first 'published' anything and dammit I want it!  I'm getting upset with this.  I've contacted them and they say its on the way and should be here shortly.... well dang it!  I'm impatient and want it NOW!

 I'm bad about getting in here. Wow.... oh well here we go again.  HAHA!

The last few days I've been dealing with a sick kiddo.  He had a nasty stomach bug.  Poor kid was just feeling horrible!  Bran went back to school today so hopefully he is doing much better, no phone call yet.  So I figured it MIGHT be safe to venture out a little this afternoon and work on the Christmas shopping that I need to get done.  

I still have no clue on what to get my hubby.  He has to be the most difficult person to buy for I know!  He spoils me rotten.... in which I absolutely love but also makes me feel bad cause I don't know what to get him.  I'd like to get him the laptop he wants but we just can't afford it right now.  Not with me having to buy books for school.  If I didn't have to buy the books then there would be no problem.  UGH  He has TONS of clothes, he has a set for the semi and others for at home.  He loves barnes and noble so he just may get a gift card for there... will have to see.  

I need to get working on Alex's dragon again.  With Bran being home sick I didn't dare take it out to work on it.  Now I'm not feeling so hot, so I'm really hoping I get it done in time to frame and get under the tree... Not sure what I'm going to do otherwise if I don't get it done.   

The auto body shop, that is supposed to be getting the part for my car, still hasn't gotten it in!  I was really hoping they would get it in, so I could get my car fixed before this weekend.  I'm heading down to my parent's to make Christmas cookies with my mom on Saturday.  

I'm not sure why but everytime I come in here to write something I'm feeling miserable.  I'm a very upbeat person normally.  Oh well.  haha

It seems every year I'm sick of Christmas already, but not this year... yeah sure I wish it was past already but I'm really excited for it as well.  I can't wait to give everyone what we got them.  I wish this place where we live was bigger, I would decorate like normal.  Maybe thats why I'm kinda bummed this season.. haven't been able to decorate.  I dunno.  This apartment is SO tiny.  I'm always tripping over something or bumping into something else.  Not just cause I'm klutzy, because I really am, but simply because it is so incredibly small.  Its horrid.  I can't wait till we can buy a house of our own.  Though I'm finicky on what I want.  I won't take anything smaller than a 3 bedroom, 2 bath or a bath and a half, with a full basement and a den(for my studio).  We also need to have a garage, and a good sized fenced yard.

My image apparitions won an award this morning at a CGI site.  WOOHOO, I know its not much but it makes me smile :) Thought I would share.

I had an amazing sale on Saturday.  WOOHOO  I sold a LOT more than I had figured I would.  Everything was well received by most folks.  A few didn't like my work and said so, but hey not everyone will.  Take the good with the bad... in which I did and ran with it.  I now have 3 pieces heading out of state.  My bookmarks turned out really nice.  I picked them up from the printer on friday.  Unfortunately my husband was with and saw the bill.  LOL  Oh well he loves me and supports my art.  

I probably won't be doing another show till spring of 2008.  I start school in January, provided I hear from financial aid soon.  Coming down to the wire with that.  I will be going to school for Graphic Design.  Hopefully I will learn other tricks about the programs I already have and use for my art.  

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving, that celebrates it.  I will be heading down to my parent's home and seeing an uncle that I haven't seen in over 15 years!  Its exciting :)  He gets to meet my wonderful husband, and my 2 beautiful boys.  In turn, I get to meet him *again* and I get to meet his wife and step daughter, whom I've heard wonderful things about.
